Rhodes Old Town

8 Jun

I also travelled to the old town of Rhodes, shown below. The old town is well worth a visit with charming, winding alley ways, beautiful architecture and bustling shops and cafés.

Lindos, Rhodes

8 Jun

Following the disassembly of my degree show I flew out to Rhodes for a short break with my mum and as always when travelling I took hundreds of photographs, some of which I have documented in the following slide shows. Whilst in Rhodes we stayed in Lindos a very pretty little town with narrow, twisting cobbled streets, white wash buildings and lots of donkeys! Towering above the town is the acropolis, which we visited on the first day.

During the week of my degree show my grandparents made the long journey to Dundee in order to visit my exhibition. On one particularly sunny afternoon I took them to Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve  to see the seals basking in the sun on the beach at Tentsmuir point below are some photographs.

The End of University!

8 Jun

Although there haven’t been many updates on my blog during the last few months I intend to update my site on a much more regular basis now that I do have a little more free time, in between graduation, showing my collection at New Designers in London and moving back to Cumbria from my student house in Dundee!

The last few weeks have been incredibly busy, first I received my degree results on the 16th of May and I am incredibly pleased to say I have achieved a Bachelor of Design Degree with Honours First Class. Following this my degree show at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design took place from the 19th-27th of May. It was brilliant to speak to potential clients, future students as well as current designers and craftspeople about my work. The feedback and comments I received were incredibly encouraging. Below are some images documenting the work I produced during my final year at university.
