Yesterday I was excited to eventually get my custom made rail cut and put up on the wall! It all began with a 240cm length of mdf. I lay out a selection of my knitted accessories and got to work drawing out the design.
Not only is the rail a specific shape in order to hang 8 of my final pieces but being irregular in shape it reflects the irregular shaped accessories I have created. Now I only have to sand and paint the rail, source a plinth, sand and paint the plinth, hang my pieces, mount some photographs and set up the display on the plinth…. by 9pm on Tuesday!
